How to Appreciate The Ones you Love the most?
Recently I retired from the Military with 22 years and 6 months of service. Like many recent retirees I struggled with it. I missed the comraderie of men and women I worked with and many have become life long friends. I remember when I had arrived at my ten year mark in the service and how I wanted to retire so quickly. When you are young in the military you cannot wait to be retired – then it happened. I arrived at my retirement date and I was not fully prepared for the sadness I felt. I started searching my mind for reasons to stay. I could find only one, Friendships. Friendships forged through a common bond. People I had learn to trust and respect.
The truth of the matter is, I love my life and I love the people who have made my life so great. I have had the pleasure of meeting all kinds of people, visiting 17 countries and living in 8 states. This December I will celebrate 17 years of marriage to my wife who currently serves in the military. I have had the pleasure of raising my son in a variety of places and he has been a champion through it all. My brothers and sisters have learn to say “I love you and ask the question “Where are you now?”
Over the years I have learned that family is everything. They are definitely worth appreciating everyday.
I appreciate the people in my life by celebrating with them and applying the following appreciation acts.
My first act of appreciation toward them is to tell each one, I genuinely Love You. My second act of appreciation is to show this love through truly understanding who they are and what their interest are. My third act of appreciation is to send gifts of love through my card sending business at http://tinyurl.com/bvvp5d. My fourth and final act of appreciation is to spend precious time with each and every loved one that I can. We all could gain an additional nugget in life through appreciating those we love.
