I have had the experience of losing a Cousin to Breast Cancer. I am in no way an expert. I can only say, I’ll pray with you or for someone you love, if they or you are going through Breast Cancer. Let the truth be told, I don’t even know how to feel about the experience, because my cousin kepted it a secret from most of us until her very last days. She never let on about her deteriorating health or that her time with us was shoter than we thought. She continued to live, laugh, love and enjoy her family everyday.

Today I admire her courage. I admire the organizations, family and friends who continue to carry the ever burning Torch of “Breast Cancer Awareness”.

I sent this greeting card to organizations, family and friends whom I know are deeply involved in finding a cure for this disease. A disease that takes to many of our men and women prematurely from us. A disease that I have not totally wrapped my mind around it’s devestation. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Although it’s the end of the month, find an organization or someone who is walking or riding to raise funds for this important and life changing event and then donate your time or make a contribution.

There are a lot of factors that might affect your risk for breast cancer. I’ve listed a few concerns below. However the best diagnosis you can get is from your family physician or your personal doctor. Go get a check-up today!

Facts about women at risk:

1. Family history. Your risks increase if your mother, sister, daughter, or two or more other close relatives, such as cousins, have a history of breast cancer.

3. Women who bear children late in life (after the age of 30)
