Appreciate the Survivors

October 21, 2011 By: The Card Sender Category: Random Acts of Kindness

Blog friends and family, today I am appreciating the survivors of Breast Cancer. We raise money for the cure and we walk to show our support for those with breast cancer.

Today we let the survivors know we appreciate their strength. We let them know that we love them. We let them know that we don’t quite understand their journey. We only know God has given them healing and grace.

My son and I are showing our support through the wearing of our Pink Sweat Shirts. Also as we have done in the past, 10% of revenue generated through our greeting card company, during the month of October is donated to Breast Cancer Research.

If you know someone that has survived Breast Cancer, send a card to show your support for their strength and courage. I happen to know two survivors and they are full of life, focused on their passion and faithful to God.

Raising Awareness

Blog readers, remember to show your support by sending a heart felt card today. Wearing pink is a small token of our appreciation. We love you Mrs. Patsy and Mrs. Lily!!! Keep on fighting.

Warmest regards,

The CardSender

Let’s Appreciate the Laughter of a Child

October 01, 2011 By: The Card Sender Category: Personal Development

I am learning to appreciate the humor of children. The laughter that rings out sometimes for no apparent reason. Other times for reasons that you wish they would not laugh. Many times children laugh at silly stuff but it is always so funny to them. As parents, teachers and adults in general I think we should learn to appreciate the laughter of children.

It is amazingly freeing. It causes us to not take ourselves so serious. The laughter of children catches us off-guard. It allows our souls to roam, without constraints, into the jolliest places of our past.

While I write, my face smiles, as I remember my childhood laughs and the various reasons “why.” Yep…they were silly reasons but they were oh soooooo funny to me.

Let’s  learn to appreciate the humor of children. The next time you hear the laughter of a child, join-in and enjoy; who cares “why,” just laugh.

Warmest Regards,
