Let’s Appreciate the Laughter of a Child

October 01, 2011 By: The Card Sender Category: Personal Development

I am learning to appreciate the humor of children. The laughter that rings out sometimes for no apparent reason. Other times for reasons that you wish they would not laugh. Many times children laugh at silly stuff but it is always so funny to them. As parents, teachers and adults in general I think we should learn to appreciate the laughter of children.

It is amazingly freeing. It causes us to not take ourselves so serious. The laughter of children catches us off-guard. It allows our souls to roam, without constraints, into the jolliest places of our past.

While I write, my face smiles, as I remember my childhood laughs and the various reasons “why.” Yep…they were silly reasons but they were oh soooooo funny to me.

Let’s  learn to appreciate the humor of children. The next time you hear the laughter of a child, join-in and enjoy; who cares “why,” just laugh.

I and Me, Greeting the New Year

January 05, 2011 By: The Card Sender Category: Personal Development

Hello all,

I am greeting the New Year with me. Not a new version of me, really, just me. Think of it as bringing in the New year with your best friend.

After reading the countless changes that people are promising to make for the new year. I think I’ll just stay me this year. I and me did alright last year and I am pretty sure we will do alright this year. I, can say that because I love me as I am. Yea, sure, I’ll improve, but I am making no promises to do so. I and me, you see, have this great relationship, where I tells me when things need to be tweaked or changed. Then me does it. I, never makes a promise to me, but I does make commitments to me, and together we are successful.

Take some time to get to know the I and me in your life. Don’t allow them to hide behind them and us, find yourself. Start asking I and me, self absorbed questions like; How can I help me? What can I do for me today? Make a list and start making it happen. I and me will thank you for it later.

It looks like I is getting impatient with me…I’ll have to finish up. (smile)

Make sure you emphatically greet me with an “I Loves Me” every day. It makes me feel great, when I does it. Nope… no promises here, except that, I and me will be the best of friends, like we’ve always been.

Warmest Regards,

T. Lawrence
